♥ so I leave Monday....can you say ahhh?! ...of course you can!
So, I leave Monday....can you say ahhh?! ...of course you can! Oh I crack myself up! Anyways! Today I went to visit my theatre camp with a few friends and I had a blast! Also, within the past week I went on a HUGE shopping spree (cue girly squeal), started packing, loaded up a digital photo keychain with pictures of me and my friends, and bought an underwater camera! It's called the Kodak Playsport and I found it after Andrew Keenan Bolger mentioned it in his "25 favorite things of summer" video. So, I decided this morning I decided to do a vlog (a video log) with my Kodak Playsport while at Frenchwoods! Everyday after all my activities when I'm in my cabin I'll make a 1-5 minute video of me (and maybe some cabin-mates) talking about my day and stuff like that. It'll be like this blog, in video form, everyday...except I won't be able to post a video everyday. I'll have to upload them all to my Youtube channel (found in the sidebar>>>) when I come back since there isn't any Wi-Fi at Frenchwoods.

So due to Frenchwoods having me so excited yet soooo stressed out, my sleeping patterns have completely changed! I can't get to bed anytime before 2:30am and then I wake up anywhere from 10-12 and the other day I woke up at 3pm!! Weird right? Also, I've been remembering my dreams every morning for the past week, so I bought a dream dictionary so I can interpret them! Apparently green monkeys within an arcade signifies good health and strong relationships with your peers LOLjk I just completely made that up

I looked at the description and realized that I had gone to camp with the 2 girls in the video! It's called South Florida Gurlz and it's a spoof on Katy Perry's California Gurlz. Turns out it was posted on the Y100 website, played on Y100 a few times, Katy Perry posted it on her tumblr and Facebook, and yesterday it had 5,000 views and today it has more than 42,000! INSANE! Remember when I said I was "nervous for summer"? Well, I still am...but for a different reason now. After months and months of begging, I had given up all hope as the summer began until a miracle hit me. I sat in the car and my mom answered her phone...
Mom(on the phone): So, can I finalize what you emailed me and call it a yes?
*I look at her and we both smile*
Me: I'M GOING TO FRENCHWOODS!!!!!!!!
Yup, that's right. I, Margo, am leaving on a plane in exactly 2 weeks. I'll be away for 3 weeks. No phone. No computer. No parents. This, will be fun.
But the worst part is always the goodbyes. There just isn't enough time...

and that's just school...

So Margo, what have you been doing in the meantime summer-plans wise.
Well, my stalkerish reader, after one week at a camp run by my theatre teacher, I was informed that I cannot return to the theatre camp I've been going to for 7 years. This upset me. Very much. And then another miracle! I was told that I in fact will be going back to my second home, Next Stop Broadway for my 7th and final year in youth camp. So on my first day back, I was a little late and when I walked in the room everyone was in a circle standing up one-by-one saying their name and their favorite song. I walked in and, not wanting to interrupt, sat down in the corner. One of the counselors (who had been my counselor for the past 3 years at least) hadn't recognized me due to a recent makeover I had given myself mixed with...well...growing up. So, she said, "Hey new girl! Stand up!" I said, "I'm not new!!" as I stood up, but I was cut off by a chorus of "MARGO!!!" and I was then engulfed into a HUGE tackle-bear-hug! Oh, how I've missed camp!
That was 3 weeks ago. Friday was my last day in youth camp as we opened and closed the show Rugrats (a very campy musical which includes songs in the genre of rap, opera, gospel, pop, reggae, and even a ballad or 2 along with the nostalgia of the famous TV babies of our childhood). As I cried my goodbyes, one of my best friends Liam (who played Chuckie) brought me over to our directors and a few other friends of mine (Tommy played by Lucas, and Stu played by Jonathan) who all informed me that we are ready to move on to teen camp. They're right, but I guess I'm just scared to move on. It's the inevitable.
I also recently (2 days ago) saw an AHMAZING production of Beauty and the Beast starring the beast(adjective) Trevor! It was great! 5 of my friends were in it along with 7 kids who go to my school! Also, Next Stop Broadway (the camp mentioned above) is taking their set for their production of Beauty and the Beast!

So, GREAT NEWS!!! After months of praying and begging, my prayers have been answered!!! (cue angel music) aaaaaaaahhhhhh (the clouds open up and the sun shines through) Two days ago I was informed that I might be going to Frenchwoods this summer!!! Basically, it's a sleepaway camp that sounds like it was dreamed up by a little kid in awe of summer arts and festivities! There are 6 activities per day along with smoothies and snacks in between each activity. You choose 3 majors out of the ones listed here (www.frenchwoods.com) per session. These majors will be activities that you have at the same time everyday. Then, every morning at breakfast you choose 3 minors (which can be different everyday) which fill in the activity slots left over! Ahmazing sounding right? Gosh I hope I get to go :)

My computer has been fixed! "Yay!" (shouts my 3 or less readers!) So I was jus thinking, ugh I have nothing to blog about right now!, and then BAM! About 5 topics magically came to my mind, but I'm going to save a few for my next post, so here we go:

So, right now I'm watching Drake and Josh (admit it, you love that show, too!) and you know how they have that whole monologue thing in the begining when they talk about each other? Well it got me thinking. In this episode they are saying the exact same thing with the exact same words, but they use 2 different tones of voice so they sound like 2 totally different things. It's an aspect of theatre, when you are reciting a monologue or dialect or even singing a song, tone of voice is a huge factor! If you say, "So today I was at the mall with my friend and she tripped and fell onto an old lady and then old lady started screaming at us!" and sound all pissed off, people would be like, ok this guy's pissed off. But if you say it like you are telling a funny story, people will laugh with you...unless you're not good with comedy.

So, the other day I was watching my favorite TV show, Doctor Who, and the episode was about dreams. The people would "fall asleep" and be in a different situation in a different time period and it would seem like real life, but when they would fall asleep in that world, they would wake up where they last "fell asleep" and it felt like that was the real world and they couldn't figure out which one is real and which one is a dream, which wouldn't be much of a problem, but there were life threatening situations in both worlds. It ends up that the whole thing was a dream caused by some psycic parasites or something like that. So it got me thinking, what if all of life is the dream and the dream is the real world. Think about that.

♥ DETENTION (dun dun duuuuunnnn)
So, Wednesday I had detention.
"why were YOU in detention?" you ask??
Well, you see dear reader, I am bad to the bone...
I got too many ID violations...
due to a family emergency...
BUT THE POINT IS, I served a detention! And not my first.
So I'm standing in the back of the detention room when this kid I'm standing next to says to me...
"So, what ya in for?"
"Too many ID violations...you?"
"Threw a pencil at my teacher"
"Oh...thats....pleseant."
At my school, when you serve detention you have to write 2 copies of 5 questions and answers about "Why you deserve this detention" "How can you prevent from having to serve another detention blah blah blah" except everytime the word "detention" is written its all caps and bold like this: DETENTION
So everytime I have a DETENTION and I write my paper, when I write the word, "DETENTION" I also write is big and bold and I also put blood splatters all around it like in the picture above. ;)
But then at the end of DETENTION as I was standing in line, waiting to be picked up, I found out from a friend that the list for who got into the musical theatre class at my school was posted. So, I asked if I could go check it out before I left and they said yes and I got in!!! I didn't last year and im super excited and I've been happy ever since!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!

So a few years ago I made some clay beads and today I decided to make a bracelet and earring set with the beads. It turned out so well, Im considering making more and selling them. Bad news though: the earings are silver, which I'm allergic to so I can't evrn wear them :(. ♥ black holes, the big bang theory, and other geeky quantum physics topics (a different side of me)

So, I haven't posted in a week, mostly because I have no clue what to blog about. At this point I feel like I'm just typing into cyberspace (I used to love that TV show cyberchase!!) because I only know of 4 people who read this regularly....Wait, I just got an idea. Cyberspace got me thinking about real space, and spacetime, and quantum physics. (Here comes super geek Margo) Okay, todays topic is going to be black holes, the big bang theory, and other geeky quantum physics topics. I love the concept of black holes, even though it scares most people. But the thing is, people don't realize that our galaxy, along with most and maybe every gallaxy has a supermassive blackhole right in the center. Scientists have gathered this from the movement of stars, and finally discovered compelling evidence to this theory in 2008. Nobody knows what a black hole actually looks like, but they can guess by studies of the radiation the emmit and what surrounds them. This is because black holes emmit no reflection of light whatsoever, hense the name black hole. Now, if you don't know what a black hole is, its pretty much a hole in the universe caused by a deformation or as many peopple would think of it as a "rip" in spacetime which is caused by a very compacted mass, much like the "big bang". I know it sounds corny, but the big bang can best be explained through song:

This artistic image is actually the signature of a supermassive black hole in the centre of distant galaxy M84 - based on data recently recorded by Hubble's new Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS). Very near black holes the force of gravity is so strong that even light can not escape ... but the presence of a black hole can also be revealed by watching matter fall into it. In fact, material spiraling into a black hole would find its speed increasing at a drastic rate. These extreme velocity increases provide a "signature" of the black hole's presence. STIS relies on the Doppler effect to measure gas velocity rapidly increasing to nearly 240 miles per second within 26 light years of the centre of M84, a galaxy in the Virgo Cluster about 50 million light years away. The STIS data show that radiation from approaching gas, shifted to blue wavelengths left of the centreline, is suddenly redshifted to the right of centre indicating a rapidly rotating disk of material near the galactic nucleus. The resulting sharp S-shape is effectively the signature of a black hole estimated to contain at least 300 million solar masses.

This machine is not what every naive kid says it is. It can make amazing scientific discoveries about black matter and the possibility of a black hole are pretty much 1 in a million(probably even a smaller possibility) and even if this does create a black hole, they would be microscopic and immediately die out! But the thing is, people don't realize that our galaxy, along with most and maybe every gallaxy has a supermassive blackhole right in the center. Scientists have gathered this from the movement of stars, and finally discovered compelling evidence to this theory in 2008. Nobody knows what a black hole actually looks like, but they can guess by studies of the radiation the emmit and what surrounds them. This is because black holes emmit no reflection of light whatsoever, hense the name black hole. Now, if you don't know what a black hole is, its pretty much a hole in the universe caused by a deformation or as many peopple would think of it as a "rip" in spacetime which is caused by a very compacted mass, much like the "big bang". I know it sounds corny, but the big bang can best be explained through song:

This artistic image is actually the signature of a supermassive black hole in the centre of distant galaxy M84 - based on data recently recorded by Hubble's new Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS). Very near black holes the force of gravity is so strong that even light can not escape ... but the presence of a black hole can also be revealed by watching matter fall into it. In fact, material spiraling into a black hole would find its speed increasing at a drastic rate. These extreme velocity increases provide a "signature" of the black hole's presence. STIS relies on the Doppler effect to measure gas velocity rapidly increasing to nearly 240 miles per second within 26 light years of the centre of M84, a galaxy in the Virgo Cluster about 50 million light years away. The STIS data show that radiation from approaching gas, shifted to blue wavelengths left of the centreline, is suddenly redshifted to the right of centre indicating a rapidly rotating disk of material near the galactic nucleus. The resulting sharp S-shape is effectively the signature of a black hole estimated to contain at least 300 million solar masses.

Now, alot of people fear the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) or also well known as the "ohemgee we r all gonna die cuz of dis blackh0le machi3n in sw3d3n!!1!!!11!!" This machine is not what every naive kid says it is. It can make amazing scientific discoveries about black matter and the possibility of a black hole are pretty much 1 in a million(probably even a smaller possibility) and even if this does create a black hole, they would be microscopic and immediately die out! This can also best be explained through song:
